“Please Take a Seat”

takeaseat

January 1st officially marks the opening for all alumni and DU friends to participate in our Wilbur and Sharon Lettinga Auditorium “Please Take a Seat” campaign. This campaign is intended to give alumni and DU friends an affordable and meaningful way to contribute to the Davenport Fund. For a contribution of $500, $300 or $150, you will have the opportunity to sponsor a seat, memorialize a loved one, or honor someone very special to you.

When you sponsor a seat, a brass nameplate bearing the inscription of your choice will be affixed to the arm of the seat. Each nameplate has space for 3 lines with a maximum of 18 characters per line.

Seats are going fast with only 12 left at the $150 level; 61 left at the $300 level; and 64 left at the $500 level. So won’t you “Please Take a Seat” before they’re all gone?

Purchase your seat online or download to print and mail the form.

Two DU alums working hard to bring $1 Million to help West Michigan’s hungry

Two Davenport University alums have joined forces to bring $1 Million to help West Michigan’s hungry. WalMart’s Fighting Hunger campaign has pledged to bring $1 Million to help fight hunger in the city that gains the most support by Dec. 31.

Paul Jendrasiak, CEO of Spambully.com, and Jennifer Phillips Wilson, Partner, with Grand Development Associates, have been influential in raising awareness for WalMart’s current “Fighting Hunger” campaign. This outstanding community involvement on behalf of two DU alums shows that our University instills strong values among its students and alumni. Grand Rapids was in first place for a short period of time, and is now in second place, but gaining momentum very quickly through the efforts of the group Jennifer and Paul have formed to create awareness for this cause.

How you can help!

Think about what an amazing difference $1 Million could do for the hungry in West Michigan. The process to support this initiative is very simple.
