Excellence in Business Dinner Gala

Davenport University will welcome former First Lady Laura Bush to the podium of the 2013 Excellence in Business Award Gala at DeVos Place on May 3.  Michael J. Jandernoa will be honored with the 2013 Peter C. Cook Excellence in Business Award at the event, which benefits student scholarships at Davenport.

D3 Hockey Game in Honor of David Warsen – Feb. 1

David Warsen was a local Caledonia resident and a former Navy SEAL.  Last fall he was killed in action while serving over in Afghanistan defending our country.  This Friday Davenport University’s D3 Hockey team will be facing off against Hope College in the first ever “Military Night” to honor David and his family.  The Warsen family has been in the Davenport community for several years and  David’s brother, Aaron, played ACHA D2 and D3 hockey at Davenport in the past.  Keep reading…

Panther Alumni Spotlight – Brit Ouellette ’11

This is the first installment of the Panther Alumni Spotlight – a segment that shines a spotlight on a Davenport University alumnus who has continued their sports career at the professional level.

Our first spotlight features Britt Ouellette, who starred as a forward for the hockey team at DU from 2007-2011. As a member of 4-straight National Championship teams, Britt has become part of the Davenport hockey dynasty!

1. How has traveling across the globe to play professional hockey changed you?

The sport of hockey has given me the ability to travel a lot. I moved across Canada when I was 18 years old to play juniors and then to the United States to play at Davenport. After college, I made professional stops across the U.S., Australia and now Germany.
