DU faculty Steve Bacinski and Tim Pennings accompanied students Joshua Estrada, Zac Lingen, Tyler Palmer and Stefana Rusu to Chicago on Friday, July 28, for the annual Mathematical Association of America MathFest, which drew more than a thousand participants.

The DU Summer Math Camp 2017 program recently helped 24 students aged 10-16 discover the beauty of patterns and relationships inherent in the rotations and flips of rectangles and triangles.
As part of the Veterans Bachelor of Science in Nursing (VBSN) program’s ongoing commitment to heighten awareness to issues facing veteran students, Davenport University has created a Military Simulation as an experiential learning opportunity. This activity is intended to provide participants with an educational insight into the lives of military students and is recommended for any faculty or staff member who may come into contact with these students. While the full impact of a military experience cannot be represented in this simulation, participants may obtain a general idea of what it is like to be a service member juggling all of life’s responsibilities while pursuing a college degree.
The “Interim” has been removed from titles held by Patty Brechbiel and Chris Marx, making Patty Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences and Chris the University Registrar. Both have served admirably in these roles on an interim basis and are well deserving of these permanent appointments.
Pantherpalooza 2017 takes place on Friday, Sept. 8, from 1 – 4 p.m. and we invite you to help us welcome our new and returning students! Our official kick-off to the school year, Pantherpalooza is free and open to all Davenport University students.
