DU has been involved with CCDC since 2007, taking first in 2008, 3rd in 2009-10, and 2nd in 2011 at the State Qualifier. In 2008, they placed 3rd at the Midwest Regional CCDC competition.

The National CCDC site puts it best, as far as activities go, with the statement “the first competition that specifically focuses on the operational aspect of managing and protecting an existing “commercial” network infrastructure. Not only do students get a chance to test their knowledge in an operational environment, they will also get a chance to network with industry professionals who are always on the look out for up and coming engineers.”
The three main components of the competition are: Services uptime, Implementation of Injects, and Defend the network against cyber attacks.
