Volunteer opportunity for Mid-Michigan students

The Saginaw Township Soccer Association (STSA) is hosting the United States Youth Soccer Association’s (USYSA) Region II Tournament this summer from June 22-27. This tournament features teams from all over the Midwest, and the teams that win in Saginaw will go on to the national tournament to be held later this summer in South Carolina. The operation of this tournament is a huge undertaking, and the STSA is looking for volunteers to help with the tournament. Volunteers are needed for many tasks, including: driving golf carts, hosts and hostesses for college coaches and referees, traffic control, food service, field marshals, etc.

This is a great opportunity for Davenport students to serve the community and network with many organizations throughout the Midwest. There is also a “thank you” cookout and concert planned for all tournament workers and volunteers at the conclusion of the tournament. For more information or to sign up, please visit http://saginawsoccer2012.com/default.aspx. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Scott Bejcek, administrative intern, at sbejcek@email.davenport.edu. Thank you for considering this opportunity!
